Home Mammals Puppies

Have you decided to own a puppy? This is great news! If you know how to take care of them and how to train them, of course. Because these lovely little friends need a great deal of attention and care from the moment they are born. Keep in mind that one of the most common reasons why dogs are abandoned is that people can't teach them basic things like toilet training. Dogs are very intelligent creatures, and they learn everything quickly, if not, because of people who mislead them and do not show enough patience.

Know that you won't be able to see the results immediately, your dog needs time to learn a few things. Because he's a baby, of course, he has instincts that make him do things, but he just knows his surroundings and you. Never be angry with him for his mistakes. If your dog is doing something you don't want, it's not his fault, it's because you give him a wrong message somewhere or you can't support the right behavior.

One of the most important things you need to learn about puppies is how they perceive things and look at things. There are different body languages and forms of communication from us. Dogs live in flock by nature and each flock has a leader. At home, it is important for the leader to understand that you are training them. As long as they see you as the leader of the herd, they are happy to carry out your commands.

Your dog, even inside the house, should belong to a club or cage that belongs to him or her. This is not to restrict your dog's freedom, to punish him or to keep him permanently there, but to have a corner of his own. The dog should go into it and relax and find peace when he wishes. In addition, the presence of such an area will provide convenience for other trainings.

Training should start from the moment the dog arrives home. But for some things you should expect your dog to reach a certain maturity. It is also not good for their health and psychology to separate dogs that have many babies from their mothers. It is best for puppies to suck milk with their mothers for the first 8 weeks of their lives. In addition, it is better to wait for the 3rd month for things like teaching some commands and toilet training.

Your puppy; parvo (bloody diarrhea), youth disease, is vulnerable to many hazards such as internal and external parasites. These diseases can cost him his life. Please never interrupt your dog's vaccines. This is important both for you and for your protection. If you do not have the financial situation to meet the vaccines, you may not be able to meet the dog's other needs. In this case, be discreet and reconsider your decision to have a dog. If you can't take care of her, please do not accustom your home.

Dogs like to take command and practice and learn words easily. When you teach them the command, start with simple things like ‘sit’, ‘come‘. Your tone and body language is very important. We have already mentioned that your dog should see you as a leader. When commanding it, it is important that you reflect your authority with your tone of voice and body language. Your tone should be precise, but soft, you should not shout. Specify words short and sharp and do not extend. Support your command with your body language. For example, when you say sit down, you can slowly lower your hand while your palm is on the ground.

And if you want to educate them correctly, you must have a regular life, time for them. Every item that belongs to your dog and used by him at home should have a specific place and these places should not change after they are given to the dog. For example, keep your dog's food container in the same place all the time and, most importantly, give it to him in a controlled manner at certain times of the day.

Puppies should be fed frequently, but as the dog grows, the frequency of formula can be reduced to one or two meals a day. Your dog's toys must also have a specific place, he should know where to find them when he wants to play. Toys should not be scattered all over the house. Your dog should sleep, wake up, eat, play and go out at the same time every day. Things become easier if they become routine.
